Frequently asked questions
Straight answers
Is a metal roof noisy in the rain?
On a residential assembly with solid decking and underlayment, the sound is far less dramatic than an open agricultural building. Insulation and attic construction also affect what you hear indoors.
Can metal roofing go over shingles?
Some assemblies allow it, but condition, code, deck integrity and manufacturer requirements matter. We inspect first and explain the correct assembly for the property.
Does metal roofing cost more than shingles?
The upfront cost is generally higher, while expected service life can also be longer. We compare installed scope and long-term value rather than material price alone.
